The Forgotten Settlement

I want to upload my hideout here, honestly because Iam paranoid Iam gonna loose it if I switch over.
I know the import export thing, its unreasonable, but its my reason xd

But since Iam gonna upload it here I didnt want to just upload some total crap so I actually went ahead and made a proper story.
Well ok its not finished right now because my mind is just out of gas after all this typing but its a story nonetheless

By no means do I claim to be a good writer, english isnt even my mother language and the story wasnt originally this detailed.
BUT. The story is based on how I went through the game, improved my character, upgraded my hideout and added more things.
This happened over the span of probably 5 or more years and I remodeled the hideout numerous times since then.
The story reflects each of those changes and vice versa.

The ending isnt finished because it got a little more detailed then first anticipated          *reminder to ask for spoiler tag*

I had a lot of fun decorating my hideout and writing this story, and hopefully some other people can enjoy it too :)
Please dont bash me too hard for sometimes jumping between tenses, I tried :P

Somewhere along the characters journey, when he tried to use the waypoint, he happened to be send to this coast by mistake.
Since he was poor and had no place to stay he decided to make it his base. After exploring the area for a while,
he found an old map device. It looked like it had seen a lot of use before and after further exploring he found the remnants of an old settlement.
Besides the ruins, that had already been taken over by nature, there was only one thing, seemingly left untouched.

A ghastly contraption with a motionless body strapped onto it. The body was in pristine condition.
No plants would grow around it, almost as if they were avoiding it.
Shortly after trying to approach the contraption, the character hears a voice.
The voice explains how this settlement used to supply a large portion of Oriath with their goods.
By building the first map device they managed to obtain previously unimaginable wealth and built a thriving economy.
However there was a price, the ruler of this settlement would have to supply the energy nessessary to open the portals.
Since he was a late descendant of the gods, only he would be able to.

"And that is why you see me in this state today. I'am the only one left, and I have been waiting for someone to find me.
Someone strong and brave enough to face the Atlas. Oritah is on the cusp of doom.
The undead are planning their assault, an army so large they can taint the sea in muddy black.
They rise from the waters and leave nothing but destruction, just like they did to us..

Should you prove to be the one iam looking for, then you shall be rewarded.
This is but a single settlement of mine, and the gold you see here is a mere fraction of our treasure.
If you agree to help me, I will charge up the map device.. one more time."

The character agreed to help, and the voice disappeared.
Left with a mission, and a sense urgency, he went to check on the map device.
The circle underneath it was now burning with a mysterious blue fire, that would dissipate if you try to touch it.
Eager to find out more, the character starts his adventure through the first maps.
He manages to get some money and builds his first little settlement, which allowed him to shift his focus on saving oriath.

Since little towns like Lioneye's Watch, and The Forest Encampment are under constant threat of attack,
he allowed some villagers to take refuge so long as they help expanding the settlement.
After acquiring better gear, and getting even more people to join, the character now starts exporting the goods he finds in his maps to various different cities, in order to prepare them for the ever encroaching forces they are destined to face.

...

Two years have past now since the character first stumbled upon this coast.
The settlement is flourishing. Goods are being exported to most of Oriath and the defenses have been severely improved along the the coast.
The character has made some trusting companions. Zana, who is the daughter of shaper; Kirac, who is currently leading the forces in Oriath; Vagan, who was once renowned as the best gladiator; Cassia, an outcast scientist who tried to temper with the virtue gems, and many more.

The undead hordes were now only a few days away, and so the entirety of Oriath started preparing for the big fight.
An extra layer of pits and spikes were build, the walls, checked for any cracks, and in every city you could hear the sound of weapons being sharpened.
All the shops were boarded up and the streets felt empty, everyone who wasnt going to fight had taken shelter.

I cant 100% guarantee that I finish the story, but the hideout will most likely see updates

Comments, ideas and suggestions and are always welcome as long as they are respectul :)
