Celestial Synthesis

This hideout was inspired by the Synthesis decorations that were released in 3.16.

It is a small hideout for mapping efficiency that is also very densely packed with themed decorations and pleasant to be in/visit.

Read the Changelog for more information about the differences between Version 1.0 and Version 2.0 and about how you can make customizations to the hideout yourself.

Download File (2.1) is a post-patch file which will include all Synthesis-themed decorations. These Decorations are free and do not need to be purchased, although they are listed on Hideout Showcase as MTX.

Download File (2.2) has added widescreen support

The hideout files are missing the synthesis decorations. The bug was fixed in patch 3.16.1 on November 10th. Please update!

Thank you for letting me know!

The hideout file is updated and reflects the post-patch changes.

The Synthesis decorations are listed on this website as MTX but they are FREE.

Thanks for the update, it looks great with the contrasting orange and blue. Small but doesn't feel confined.

I made a few NPC changes so this can be my new daily driver. I hid the guild stash inside the synthesizer and put Navali next to it because I need to use them often. Alva is next to Kirac so I won't miss the symbol when a temple is ready. I filled the space next to Cassia with Niko and swapped Tane for The Last to Die.

Do you have any tips for hiding the environment behind the rock faces on widescreen setups? I tried filling it with rocks but I can't get that to look good. I ended up adding rocks to mask the edges of the ground and hid the rest with blocking volumes. The black is less noticeable but still feels out of place.

Hideout receives widescreen update

2.1 | 02 Dec 2021 - 23:31

This is the post-patch hideout file. All Synthesis-themed decorations should now be present in the hideout.

2.0 | 04 Nov 2021 - 13:02

Added some ground artifact detail to make the edges of the space seem more realistic and give highly visible areas of the floor a more "lived in by crazy Venarius" vibe. Sand, books, papers, golem parts, other theme-relevant artifacts, loot, etc. Replaced the 3 Oriath Statues and Pillar in the Large Rock area at the top of the hideout with a Statue of Solaris and Lunaris fighting because it fills the space very well and frankly I think it looks way cooler. The orientation of the Oriath Lanterns in that area has been adjusted accordingly. Removed a handful of effects from the first iteration of the design that I feel detract from the space. Namely some randomly placed Golden Sparkles. Removed Synthesis Light Beam 1 from the area above the Synthesizer decoration as I feel it makes the space busier than I would like. This effect is very simple to replace if you prefer it. Other locations to consider would be over the map device or over the pond, replacing the Oriath Lantern as the primary light source for that area. You could also consider using it to replace the light sources around the Sisters. I tried this one specifically but it takes away from their weapon effects so I decided not to include it. Furthermore, I feel the effect emitted from the Memory Stabilizer 3 fills the "air" of the room very adequately. Repaired some visual inconsistencies I've since noticed that detract from the visual immersion and continuity of the space. Namely the black void-type polygon present behind the Stained Glass Window feature over the pond area which was visible when standing at certain angles in the hideout. Relevant Synthesis-themed Pillar decoration added to block the polygon. Generally adjusted the positioning of a small handful of artifacts and decorations. Added the Venarius Boss music to the second iteration of the hideout. This is, of course, not necessary and does not in any way affect the appearance of the hideout. I have it set that way because I've paid for the hideout music player and I prefer it to the regular hideout soundtrack. I wish I was around to play in Synthesis league because the audio and visual aspects are truly S-tier. That said I hear it was unplayable for weeks on release. Other than the music there are no additional MTX used in this hideout. I plan to keep it this way so that it is accessible. There are, however, some decorations from the MTX menu that would look very cool. I may include some in my personal version. Similarly, lots of the league-exclusive stuff will probably look cool here but is not included for obvious reasons. I encourage you to take this hideout and decorate it as you see fit, changing or modifying it in any way that makes you happy. Lastly, If you're a 40/40 player, Consider replacing the Lunaris/Solaris Statue in Version 2 of this hideout with your Totems as it looks sick af. The goal of this hideout was to have a small, themed, efficient space for mappers that looks really cool and is packed full of decorations but isn't tacky. I think that Version 2.0 of this hideout very much achieves that.
