Deep Hollow

Deep Hollow was once a prosperous mining town. But in the last decade the earth below became less and less willing to share its riches with the people above. Harsh winters, hunger and greed made men dig deeper and deeper until the ground could not bear their weight anymore. Chasms opened at the town's edges and the miners were seen never again. Nowadays only Deep Hollow's chapel tells of the town's brighter past.

Lately strange people came to town. Some in shimmering armour, some clad in shadows, some, well, a little weird to say the least. One cold and bright as ice. And though the locals welcome their guest's filled pockets they fear what might have brought them here.

And in the darkest nights of winter, when listening to the winds from the mountains, one can hear the earth breathing from below.
